Question:

I want to know that if I have done the obligatory Hajj and Umrah, then is it recommended to go for Hajj again, or should I prefer to go for Umrah?
Fatwa:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, may Allaah exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
The Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, urged people to perform Hajj and 'Umrah again and again and informed us that doing so eradicates poverty and sins. He, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said: "Follow the performance of Hajj with the performance of 'Umrah [and follow the performance of 'Umrah with the performance of Hajj] (and continue doing so) as they eradicate poverty and sins as the bellows eradicate the scum of iron, gold and silver. Indeed, the reward of an accepted Hajj in nothing but paradise." [Ahmad, An-Nasaa'ee, At-Tirmithi and Ibn Maajah] This means that it is desirable to perform Hajj and 'Umrah again and again.
Allaah Knows best.
