Finishing project in less than minimum required time

Question

Assalaamu alaykum.
1. If a project requires a minimum of 140 hours of work to pass but one does it in only 130 and exaggerates it to 140, would it be sinful to claim credit for this work?
2. Is it permissible to work for a public/government-owned phone service provider or telecom companies?
3. Is it considered Shirk (polytheism) or showing off to join leading positions in societies or clubs that promote volunteerism through technology (provided that technology is what one is studying) with the dual intention of doing some good and putting it on a resume in order to facilitate earning a halal income in the future if one tries to intend both for the sake of Allah, Glorified and Exalted be He; even if the resume is online for all to see?
Thank you.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If a person spends less time than the required time working, he is not permitted to say that he spent more time than that, because that is a forbidden lie, he is not sinful for saying that he finished the work, as long as he is truthful.

As for the rest of the questions, we apologize for not answering them as the policy of the site stipulates that only one question will be answered when the questioner asks several questions at a time. [So you may ask each question separately.]
