Accepting Researches prepared by Non-Muslim

Question

can we accept result of scientific research /study/statistics/analysis/evidence etc done by non Muslim & sinner,non hijabi female & male scientist if the result is reliable & based on facts? please note that those research are not about religion. those research are about worldly beneficial subjects & all other types of topics . As those researches are done by mostly non Muslim & sinner, non hijabi female & male scientist, should we reject all of their research results though they are reliable & based on facts?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger. {C}{C}

It is not a condition before reading researches or accepting the scientific facts in them, that the one who prepares them must be a pious believer.

Those researches and sciences are not rejected just because the one who prepared them is a non-Muslim or a dissolute person. There is no religious impediment to learn useful matters from non-Muslims and their researches, and benefit from them.

Ibn ‘Abbaas may Allaah be pleased with him narrated: “After the Battle of Badr, some war prisoners had no money to ransom themselves with, so the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) made their ransom to teaching the children of the Ansaar how to write.” [Ahmad; Arna’oot classified it as Hassan]

The researches that are rejected are those which our Sharee’ah proved to be void, or which modern science proved to be void.

Allah knows best.
