Asallam u Alaikum, If a person went on a funfair ride which was called 'Zodiac'. Then they realised it was named after the zodiac signs which are shirk, did they have to repent and is this sinful or shirk (naoouzubillah). The person does not believe in any zodiac signs or star signs etc.

Accepted Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

This person is not considered a sinner, let alone a disbeliever, for merely going on a funfair ride that is named after the zodiac signs as long as the game does not involve any prohibited matters.
