All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

If the active ingredient contained in such slimming cream is not forbidden, it does not include any impure substance, and using it is unlikely to incur harm, then there is no harm in using such cream for the reason specified in your question. In fact, this is considered a kind of remedy. In principle, it is allowable to seek treatment by means of anything that is of benefit. Jaabir reported that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “There is a remedy for every malady, and when the remedy of a disease is successfully applied, it is cured with the permission of Allaah, The Exalted.” [Muslim]
