Question
Assalaamu alaikum, dear shaikh for expiation of oath can I feed 10 poor persons in 10 days (feeding one poor everyday) or should I feed them within 24 hours? Jazaak ALLAHU Khair.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
Feeding ten poor people as expiation for breaking an oath does not have to be done in one single day. It is permissible to feed the ten poor people in one day or one (different) poor person per day for ten days. Ibn Qudaamah 
wrote: “If one feeds each day one poor person until he completes ten, then it would be sufficient for him (and he would be cleared of his liability for the expiation); we know of no disagreement among the scholars in this regard because the obligation is to feed ten poor people, and he has done that.” [Al-Mughni]
