I sent you a question yesterday, and you gave a link to some similar fatwas. However, I did not find the answer to my question there. So I am sending it again, and I am sorry to send you so many questions, but it is difficult to find the information from another source at the moment, unless you can recommend a book on the subject. Here is the original question: While looking for an answer to a question of mine on your website, I stumbled upon fatwa 298888, which has lead me to more doubts. Can you give a different answer as to why the jinn could not have authored the Quran? Also, is it possible for the jinn to know of human embryology, because if they do not know, then that dispels the question. Thank you. So this consists of two questions:
1. A different answer than fatwas 298888 and 82861 to the question: Is it possible that the jinn authored the Quran?
2. Can the jinn study embryology? If not, then we know that they did not author the Quran because the Quran contains embryology.

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, we say that the Muslim should beware of exposing himself to misconceptions about Islam or allow them to take root in his heart; these are steps taken by Satan to corrupt and undermine his religiosity. Ibn Al-Qayyim wrote:

“Shaykh-ul-Islam (Ibn Taymiyyah), may Allah be pleased with him, when I started to report one misconception after another to him, said to me, ‘Do not let your heart, when exposed to such misconceptions, absorb it like a sponge that soaks up water (soaking up the various misconceptions that are presented to it), but let it be like an impermeable glass vessel; misconceptions pass by it but do not remain in it. Such a vessel sees the misconception with its (the vessel's) clearness but repels it with its firmness. Otherwise, if your heart absorbs every misconception that passes by it, your heart becomes a settling place for misconceptions,’ or as he said. So I do not see that I have ever benefited from any advice in repelling misconceptions more than I benefited from this advice. A misconception is called as such because the truth is confused with falsehood in it, as it puts the garment of truthfulness over the body of falsehood.” [Miftaah Daar As-Sa‘aadah]

These misconceptions have no limits. The Muslim should be cautious of them and be confident that his religion is the true religion; if he can find the refutations of such misconceptions, then that is good; otherwise, he should confidently attribute all knowledge to Allah.

The jinn belong to the world of the Unseen; no one can decisively confirm anything pertaining to the jinn except for what was established in the Quran and Sunnah. There is no way to confirm or negate that the jinn have knowledge of embryology. But even if they do, would this necessarily indicate that it is possible that the jinn composed the Quran? Nay, that is absolutely inconceivable.

The Arabs at the time of the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, excelled in the arts of the language. They were challenged to produce a single verse like the Quran and they failed to do so despite their remarkable eloquence. Both humankind and the jinn could not produce the like of the Quran. Allah, The Exalted, says (what means): {Say: If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants.} [Quran 17:88]

Secondly, the people of Makkah knew and attested to the honesty and truthfulness of the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and nicknamed him, “As-Saadiq Al-Ameen” (The truthful, the honest). It is inconceivable that the one who did not lie to people would attribute a lie to Allah! It is not possible that the Quran was composed by the jinn and that the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, falsely attributed it to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!

Thirdly, one of the staunchest enemies of Islam attested to its authenticity and to the fact that it could never have been composed by a human being or jinn. Ibn ‘Abbaas, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that Al-Waleed ibn Al-Mugheerah came to the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and that the Prophet recited the Quran to him. Al-Waleed was moved by the Quran and it had a visible effect on him. When the news of the incident reached Abu Jahl, he went to Al-Waleed's house ... Al-Waleed said:

“I swear by Allah, there is not a single man who is more knowledgeable of the poetry or prose of man and the jinn than I am, and by Allah, his speech (the Quran) bears no resemblance to any of that! By Allah, his speech is very sweet and is adorned with beauty and charm! Its first part is fruitful and its last part is abundant (gushing forth with bounties, benefits, and meanings). It dominates and cannot be dominated, and it shatters and crushes all that comes before it (of poetry or prose because of its eloquence).” [Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab Al-Eemaan]

Lastly, we would like to emphasize what we have underlined earlier; that the Muslim should beware of exposing himself to such misconceptions, and that only those endowed with firm conviction and profound Islamic knowledge enabling them to refute such misconceptions are allowed to expose themselves to them.
