Is it permissible to slaughter the udh-hiyah (Eid sacrificial animal) in the house of one of my relatives?

Accepted Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

It is neither conditioned, nor obligatory, nor recommended that the udh-hiyah is slaughtered in the house of the one offering it. Rather, one is allowed to slaughter it in his own house, the house of a relative, or wherever he wishes.
