Adoring Yourself in Front of Men Is Not Disbelief

Question

My last question that remained unclarified was that yrs back i was on prayer mat i had a habit of saying i could leave everything but not adorning myself i said so but then satan whispered that u love allah or adorning more or u have to leave one i after that imagin3d i cant cover my head n all n said verbally like literally said to god to plz forgive me but i can live without u but not this and love this more aor can leave islaand that can live in a corner as a non muslim and tht one should say the truth This is something i remember now after many yrs i cant be sure but that there is a possibility that while coming out of the room one more whisper was encountered saying that u have become a non muslim n if ihad said yes for that whisper n accepted in my heart if this is indeed true this would have led me out of islam The other day this too i vaguely remember that i repented from whatever i said saying i cant leave islam anyway Now question is that the repentance and the other whisper about non muslim i vaguely remember but inorder to repent will it be a must fard for me to leave adorning as this had left me out of islam ?? I now do wear a headscarf but apply lipstock n adorn myself so would that i cant be a muslim until i leave this sin ?? Or just repenting is enough and especially bcz i verbalized saying i love this more

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

You are still a Muslim, praise be to Allah, and you did not leave the fold of Islam as a result of any of these whispers, as they do not affect the validity of your faith.

It is from the Mercy of Allah that He forgives His Slaves for the thoughts they have or acts which they did without their choice. So, do not give in to these whispers and do not pay any attention to them.

Praise be to Allah Who enabled you to repent and guided you to wear the Hijaab.

You do not have to abandon beautifying yourself, if this is done in front of your husband or in front of those (men) whom are permitted to look at you.

However, in the presence of non-Mahram men, then it is not permissible for you to beatify yourself at all. Therefore, you must repent to Allah from this sin, as a way of obeying Him and seeking His Pleasure.

However, this sin is not Kufr (disbelief) and it does not result in you going out of the fold of Islam, but you must repent from it as we have already mentioned in order to attain the Forgiveness of Allah and His Pleasure.

We ask Allah to bless you with sincere repentance.

Allah knows best.
