Wearing a tie while praying |

Question
Assalamu Allaikum. While Praying is it ok to wear a tie?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
It is permissible to wear a tie while praying. However, the tie is not permissible if it is made from pure silk or if it is being worn imitating non-believers. The Prophet said concerning silk: "Do not drink in gold or silver utensils, and do not wear clothes of silk or Dibaj, for these things are for them (unbelievers) in this world and for you in the Hereafter." As for the imitating Kuffar the Prophet said: "Whoever imitates some people, he is one of them".(Abu Dawood). Allah knows best.
