Question
What is your verdict on PC and Internet, TV for news and information? Remember, we have no control over the content.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
The TV, PC and Internet are modern inventions and can be used for both beneficial or harmful purposes.
However, most probably, these devices are used for evil and harmful purposes, and such a is prohibited. Whoever watches TV or surfs the Internet should be cautious and try to avoid their evils with great determination. When you use these devices you should keep in mind that Allah the Almighty can see you in all circumstances. Whoever feels he has a tendency to watch harmful and prohibited material and cannot control himself, he should avoid using these devices.
