Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, you should know that neglecting the prayer and being lazy in performing it is very dangerous and harmful. The prayer is the pillar of religion and neglecting it is evidence of failure; Allaah Says (what means): {But there came after them successors [i.e. later generations] who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil.}[Quran 19:59]; evil in this verse means loss and failure.

Neglecting the prayer is also a sign of hypocrites, and whoever neglects it is threatened with punishment; Allaah Says (what means): {So woe to those who pray. Those who are heedless of their prayer.}[Quran 107:4-5]. Being heedless means delaying the prayer from its prescribed fixed time, and some interpreters of the Quran interpreted it to mean neglecting it and not performing it. Therefore, you should fear Allaah, dear sister, and you should know that you will stand before Allaah naked and barefooted on a Day that is 50,000 years long, and the first thing you will be asked about is the prayer. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "The first thing a person will be reckoned for [on the Day of Judgement] is the prayer." [An-Nasaa'i, At-Tirmithi and Ahmad]

Furthermore, you should know that the reason of neglecting the prayers is due to sins and act of disobedience, or due to having a bad company who do not perform the prayers and the like. Hence, you should find out the reason and avoid it, as you know better than us.

If Allaah Has given you everything you wanted, then does abandoning your religious obligations reflect being grateful to Him? Rather, you are obliged to be grateful to Allaah for His Blessings and Bounties on you, and you should beware of exchanging the favour of Allaah on you for disbelief.

Moreover, you should be keen on reciting the morning and evening mention of Allaah, the mention of Allaah when going to sleep, when entering and coming out of one's home, as all this repels the devil from you and prevents them from controlling you.

We ask Allaah to guide you to what pleases Him.

Allaah Knows best.
