Is it compulsory to have sex at first night of marriage?

Accepted Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

It is not compulsory to have intercourse at the very first night of marriage, however, if the husband wants to have intercourse with his wife, and she has no religious impediment to refuse, like being in menstruation and the like, and she is not harmed by sexual intercourse, then she is obliged to accept the demand of her husband.
