Question:

salaam aleikoum sheikh, If one recites the tashahud and after ta7iyah he does the salawat 3ela nabi and after that du'a punishment of the grave and after that he redoes the salawat 3ela nabi and than du'a punishment of the grave if this considered ziyadaah and does it need sujood sahw or is it considered as doing what one may do as many times as he wants after the ta7iyah? I did this in salatu maghreb but without sujood sahw?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Repeating invoking Allaah's Blessings upon the Prophet, sallallaahu alyhi wa sallam (after the final Tashahhud) or the Du'a for seeking refuge from the punishment of the grave and the like does not require Sujood as-Sahw (prostrations of forgetfulness).

Hence, it is correct that you did not perform Sujood as-Sahw and you are not required to do anything else.

Allaah Knows best.
