Question:

Assalaamu alaykum. I am the one who asked question number 2640959. I read the awnsers to the other questions, but I am still confused, I really need a clear answer. If a woman inserts a piece of cotton into her vagina to check the end of her menstrual period and saw a white discharge that contains brownish spots, is the discharge regarded as a sign of purity despite the brownish part, or is it regarded as part of the menstruation?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

As long as the brown color is still present, then a woman is not considered to be pure; rather, the blood and the yellowish and brownish colors must disappear and the place must be dry with the exception of regular white wetness.

Allah knows best.
