Question
Is Zawaj al-Muta'a Halal? If not what kind of marriage is Halal if the men are already married and he cannot get married again in the normal way.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We have already issued Fatwa 82221 clarifying the ruling on temporary marriage, so please refer to it.
This Fatwa clarifies that this marriage is for a known limited period and this nullifies marriage in Islam.
As regards the valid marriage other than the temporary marriage, it is any marriage that fulfills the pillars and conditions of a valid marriage even if the wife gives up her rights of spending on her or staying overnight with her and so forth.
