Fatwa CenterA man imitates women and has urge to have sex with men
Question
I knew somebody who talk, walk like a woman. Some called him gay and he feels very miserable. He says that he is very sad that he cannot control his walking and wished that he walk like a steady, regard gentleman. He wants to change his way of walking but then he ended up pain in his joints. Please is there anyway to help him and he wished to get married and have children and he is afraid woman may not like him. He said at times he has the urge to have sex with man than woman. He admires man more than woman. Is this quality Allaah gave him? Please reply in details.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
A man who tries to imitate women in their behaviour and conduct and the like, is a bisexual whether or not he is involved in committing fornication or homosexuality. A man might be bisexual by nature, so he is not blamed for it but he should try to the best of his ability to get rid of this behaviour. However, if he intends and chooses by his own will to imitate women in their behaviour and conduct then this is something greatly prohibited in Islam. In any case, a man who is afflicted with this should try to get rid of this behaviour by seeking Allaah's Help and he should not despair of His Mercy. He should be advised to stop this behaviour which could harm him in his religion and his worldly affairs. Such a person is also cursed by Allaah. It is confirmed that the Prophet 
cursed men who imitate women, as reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim
. Moreover, such person is rejected in his society. He should also, be advised to behave like men and endeavour not to commit fornication or homosexuality. He should remember that homosexuality is an obnoxious habit and Allaah destroyed the nation which committed this act. A homosexual is cursed and deserves to be killed.
Therefore, this person should not be with men as long as he is in this condition.
Finally, it should be noted that marriage could solve the problem, so he should take the initiative to marry and he should not submit himself to the whispers of the devil in this regard.
