Question
Assalamu alaikum wr wb What is ulemmas opinion about Maroccan healer Mekki al Torabi? Is it OK to visit him and let him to cure a person? Baraka Allaha fik Assalamu alaikum wr wb
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
According to the information which we have about this man, what he does is a kind of magic because he does not treat with the known medical means and he does not know medicine. Moreover, he does not treat with Ruqyah and he does not seem to be treating with Ruqyah.
Therefore, it is not permissible to go to him or to be treated by him. Rather, a sick person goes to specialist doctors or performs Ruqyah while relying on Allaah and being certain that the cure is in the hands of Allaah Alone.
