Accepted Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

The soul leaves the body in two cases. These were clarified by Allaah The Almighty in the Quran: the first case is when one is asleep, and the second is when he dies.
