Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

In the Sunnah, one of the rivers of Paradise is called by the name of ‘Al-Baydakh’ or ‘Al-Baydah’.

Anas ibn Maalik may Allaah be pleased with him narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) liked good dreams. He would ask: “Did any of you see a dream?” If a man had seen a dream and he sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) did not know him, he would ask about him, and would like to hear the dream if that man was praised for his good qualities. Once a woman came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I saw in a dream that I entered Paradise. I heard a loud noise which made Paradise shake. I looked and found so-and-so, so-and-so, and she mentioned the names of twelve men. They were then brought on (in Paradise, in the dream) with their wounds still bleeding. It was said, `Take them to the river Baydakh or – Baydhakh.' They were taken to that river and submerged in it and when they came out of it, their faces turned as radiant as the full moon. They were brought golden chairs and they sat on them. Then they were brought a plate and they ate from it. Whenever they turned that plate around, they would eat from the fruit it contained, as much as they wanted.” Later on, an army (whom the Prophet had sent with a military expedition) sent a messenger to convey the news (of the battle) and said that so-and-so and so-and-so died, mentioning the names of the twelve men whom that woman mentioned in the dream. So, the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “Bring me the woman.” The woman was brought to him. He sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) then told her: “Tell me your dream.” She narrated to him the dream. Then Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “It is as she related.” [Ahmad in his Musnad; Shu’ayb Al-Arna’oot classified it as authentic]

Ibn ‘Abbaas may Allaah be pleased with him also narrated a narration that indicates that the Hoor (women of Paradise) grow from this river.

Both Ibn Abu Ad-Dunya and Abu Nu'aym narrated in the book entitled Sifatul Jannah (the Description of Paradise) from the Hadeeth of Az-Zuhri that Ibn ‘Abbaas may Allaah be pleased with him said:

There is a river in Paradise called Al-Baydakh on which there are domes made of rubies, under which the Hoor germinate; so the people of Paradise will say: "Let us go to Al-Baydakh, and they will go to check those Hoor. If a man liked one of those Hoor, he would touch her wrist, and she would follow him, and another Hoor will grow in her place.” [End of quote]

This is the wording of Ibn Abu Ad-Dunya. The wording by Abu Nu'aym reads, “... under it (the river) are Hoor that germinate; they recite the Quran beautifying their voices.

Allah knows best.
