Fatwa CenterDressing Up to Take a Picture
Question
Some scholars are on the view that photos are haram except for some excuses like passport and ect, so my question is can i dress good when im taking photo for those things or its like helping in sin if i dress good?.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
There is no harm in wearing good clothes when taking permissible pictures, and this is not included in loving evil or persisting in it. Rather, this is included in the saying of the Prophet when he was asked: “A man likes that his clothes look nice and his shoes look nice (whether or not this is would be arrogance). And he said: “Allah is beautiful and He loves beauty.” [Muslim]
The Prophet also said: “Allah loves to see the effect of His Grace on His Servant.” [At-Tirmithi]
