Fatwa CenterErasing Someone Else’s Drawing
Question
If i erased someone else's drawing, do i need to pay for it?. If maybe the drawing can have value if the owner sell it.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that none is worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad 
is His slave and messenger.
If this drawing has a considerable value according to the Sharee'ah definition, such as if it were an engineering drawing (design/plan) and so on, then the one who erased it without the permission of the owner guarantees its value.
However, if it does not have any value according to the Sharee'ah, then there is no guarantee on the one who has erased it.
