He Thought that what the Prophet Prohibited Is Not at the Same Level As what Allah Prohibits

Question

Assalamualikum,
I am in deep mental shock now. while reading a hadith  I saw that rasul(sa) prohibited a food and I thought to myself, that Allah specifically prohibited   some food like swine and dead meat etc and what rasul(sa) prohibited is not as same level prohibition as what Allah prohibited in quran.perhaps I was thinking level of haram is more where Allah specifically prohibited.  Ofcourse I did not think what rasul(sa) prohibited as permissible. At that time, I did not think about the gravity and severity of the matter. Did that thought make me a kaafir?   After some days I  understood this mistake and make touba .Can I be excused on the ground  of ignorance and misinterpretation? Is this touba is sufficient or I  have to enter islam again?  Is my marriage nullified?
Regards.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

What you thought or said to yourself that what the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) prohibited is not at the same level of prohibition as what Allah prohibits in the Quran, does not lead to apostasy –Allah forbid –and it has no effect on your marriage contract.

Allah knows best.
