Question
My brothers name is Shahed, could you please give me the meaning and can we keep this name.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
It is lawful to give the name of Shahed to the person. Shahed means in Arabic the person who witnesses and certifies.
