Prophet's, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, faith in the Battle of Uhud

Question

What are the two ways in which the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, demonstrated his faith in the Battle of Uhud?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

The power of the faith of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) emerged in the Battle of Uhud in many stances; some of them are as follows:

1) In his sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) saying: “It does not suit a Prophet to take off his shield after he has worn it.” [Ahmad from Jaabir may Allaah be pleased with him]

2) In his perseverance in the battlefield at the stage when many of his Companions turned their backs and fled. Only seven persons from the Ansaar (the Helpers) and two from the Emigrants remained with him as reported in the book of Imaam Muslim may Allaah have mercy upon him.

Allaah Knows best.
