Accepted Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

Basically, all things are Halal.
Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {And Allâh will never lead a people astray after He has guided them until He makes clear to them as to what they should avoid. …} [9: 115].
As a rule, all kinds of food are Halal except what is prohibited in the Qur'an or the Sunnah or what its harm is proved for the Prophetic Hadith:
"There should be no harm nor reciprocal harming" [ Ahmad and al-Baihaqi ].
Thus, we state that if nutmeg cause harm or intoxication, it becomes Haram to use it, and vice-versa.
