Women's dress in Ihram

Question

What's the correct Islamic dress for woman while circling al-Ka'ba? Does she completely cover her face and hands or what?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

It is prohibited for a woman who is in the state of Ihram (ritual consecration) to cover her face for the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "A woman who is in the state of Ihram should not cover her face nor put on gloves" . But, she has to let down her dress from her head to cover her face in the presence of alien men.
A Prophetic Hadith from Ayisha (Radiya Allahu Anha) reads: "Men on camels used to pass by us while we were with the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and in state of Ihram. We would cover our faces with our gowns when they passed by us, and then uncover them again" [ Abu Dawood ].
This Hadith gives us a general ruling for a woman in Tawaf, Sa'i between Safa and Marwa or at 'Arafah or any other place during Hajj or Umrah.
If a woman is not in the state of Ihram and she is performing Tawaf, she can cover her face with anything that hides her from alien men.
Allah knows best.
