Question
If a person was put under a powerful magic spell, would it be permissible for him to ask a magician to cure him, as declared by Ibn Taymiyyah?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Curing magic spells using magic spells is impermissible.
No Muslim scholar has ever allowed the removal of magic spells using magic with evidence for such an opinion.
We do not think that Ibn Taymiyyah 
allowed this, since this practice goes against many confirmed and authentic prophetic narrations and against the well known opinion of Ibn Taymiyyah on this matter.
