Question
Assalaamu aleikumI ask 3 or 4 questions that i havent received.I hope you will answer this question because Ive been waiting.1) I need help because my sister dont pray and im worried about her.She is wasting her time. This is very serious because i dont see no improvement.2) I live in usa, St.paul ,MN. We dont have strong base or foundation. There is indviduals that work but is too small. In my city one or two are active. And to spread islam we need some books because we have receive help letters from prison cell. There is a lot of misleading going on in the prison. So my question would to help brothers who are in jail spread right islam. Do you have any free books for people in the prison. Because the letters that we received in our masjid its very sad. A LOT OF WRONG INFORMATIONS. I just want to help. Jazza kullah khayr
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
We have issued many Fataawa concerning the ruling of the one who abandons performing the prayers. See Fataawa 84390 and 85831.
We advise you to continue on advising your sister, seek the help of your family members and those who have influence on her in this regard. Remind her of Allaah and His grave punishment since the Prayers are the greatest pillar of Islam after the Two Testimonies of Faith. Whoever abandons his prayers, will neglect the other obligations more easily.
As for your request to send Islamic literature to be distributed in your area, first, we appreciate your ambition and your zeal in calling people towards Islam. We ask Allaah to grant you the best reward for that. Second, we advise you to contact any Islamic center in your area or in that country, and they will respond to your request.
