All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

We have already clarified in Fatwa 87864 that it is permissible for boys to watch cartoons provided they are beneficial and are free from religious prohibitions, like music and others.

If these conditions are met, it is permissible for young boys and adults to watch them. However, the adults are only permitted to watch these cartoons if watching them does not preoccupy them from performing a religious obligation, like the prayer and so forth.
