Usaamah ibn Zayd ibn Haarithah Al-Kalbi, may Allah be pleased with him:

He and both his parents were freed slaves of the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), and he was the Prophet's beloved and the son of his beloved. He was raised under the guardianship of the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), and he was very active, smart and courageous. Usaamah, may Allah be pleased with him, wanted to participate in the Battle of Uhud, but the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), did not allow him to, on the grounds that he was too young to go to war. He was extremely intelligent and very brave to the extent that the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), would later appoint him as the commander of the army that was directed to Shaam when he was only 18 years old. Some of the leading Companions were present in this army under his leadership, such as ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab, may Allah be pleased with him, the second Caliph in Islam. Usaamah, may Alllaah be pleased with him, died in 54 A.H., according to the most correct opinion.

Anjashah Al-Aswad, 'the Chanter', may Allah be pleased with him:

He had a beautiful voice in chanting.

Aws, may Allah be pleased with him:

Ibn Hibbaan was absolutely certain that his name is Abu Kabshah. He died on the day ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, was appointed Caliph.

Anas, may Allah be pleased with him:

His nickname was Abu Musarrah or Abu Masrooh. He was a trusted attendant of the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), and he died during the Caliphate of Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with them both.

Ayman ibn ‘Ubayd ibn Zayd, may Allah be pleased with him:

He is the son of Umm Ayman and the half brother of Usaamah ibn Zayd, may Allah be pleased with them. Ibn Is-Haaq said about him, "Ayman was responsible for providing the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ) with water for purification, and he was among those who remained firm in the face of the enemies during the Battle of Hunayn, during which he was martyred."

Thawbaan ibn Bujdud (or ibn Buhdur), may Allah be pleased with him:

He is from As-Sarah, a place between Makkah and Yemen, though some other historians were of the view that he is from Himyar, or from Alhaan. He was captured in a war, and the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), bought him  and emancipated him. After he was set free, the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), asked him to choose between going with his people, or staying with him, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), and being a member of his household. He chose to stay with the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), and loyally accompanied and served him through all his travels and encampments, until he, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), died. Thawbaan, may Allah be pleased with him, died in Hims, in 54 A.H.

Hunayn, may Allah be pleased with him:

Al-Bukhari may Allah have mercy upon him narrated that he was a slave of the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), and he granted him to his uncle Al-‘Abbaas, may Allah be pleased with him, who in turn set him free, yet, he remained working under the service of the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ). He used to carry the remainder of the water that the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), used in his Wudhoo' (ablution) to the Companions (to get the blessings of it).

Once, Hunayn, may Allah be pleased with him, reserved the water of the Prophet's ablution for himself. The Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, complained about this to the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ). When the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), asked him about that, he said, "Verily, I have kept it to drink it."

Raabi‘, may Allah be pleased with him:

It is said that his nickname is Abu Raafi‘ or Abu Al-Bahiyy. Khaalid ibn Sa‘eed, may Allah be pleased with him, gave him as a present to the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ), who took him and set him free.
