Question:

how many hasanat do i get for reading quran after praying salat al fajr. i only read 2 to 3 ayats and go to sleep thank u may allah reward u

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) informed us that whoever recites one letter from the Quran, will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied a tenfold reward. So if a person recites (Alif-Laam-Meem) which are three letters, he gets ten good deeds for every letter and the total will be thirty good deeds.

Therefore, if you want to know how many good deeds you get, you should count how many letters you have recited and then multiply them by ten.

On this occasion, we advise you to recite the Quran much while pondering over it and being attentive to its meaning, especially at the preferred times, like the last third part of the night and between Fajr prayer and sunrise, and you will be rewarded for doing so, Allaah willing.

Allaah Knows best.
