Question:

in al-kuran, there were any solutions for food crisis

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

The Quran was revealed by Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds Who created all the creation and is most knowing about their affairs. Hence, Allaah legislated for His Creation what benefits them in this worldly life and the Hereafter. Among this is the issue of provision in general, and food is one of it.

The Islamic Law clarified some reasons to obtain provision; there are some spiritual reasons and some material reasons.

Among the abstract reasons are:

1-    Believing in Allaah and obeying Him; Allaah Says (what means): {And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allaah, We would have opened [i.e. bestowed] upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth;}[Quran 7:96]

2-    Refraining from committing sins and acts of disobedience; Allaah Says (what means): {And Allaah presents an example: a city [i.e. Makkah] which was safe and secure, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allaah. So Allaah made it taste the envelopment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing.}[Quran 16:112]

3-    Seeking forgiveness; Allaah Says (what means): {"I said (to them): 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; 'He will send rain to you in abundance; 'And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.'"}[Quran 71:10-12]

4-    Having trust in Allaah and relying on Him; Allaah Says (what means): {So seek from Allaah provision.}[Quran 29:17] Allaah also Says (what means): {And have you seen that [seed] which you sow? Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower?}[Quran 56:63-64]

As regards the material reasons, they are as follows:

1-    Endeavouring to work; Allaah Says (which means): {It is He who made the earth tame for you, so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision.}[Quran 67:15]

2-    Mutual co-operation between Muslims; Allaah Says (what means): {Help you one another in virtue, righteousness and piety.}[Quran 5:2] Moreover, the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "He has not believed in Me he who spends the night having eaten his fill while he knows that his next-door neighbour is hungry." [At-Tabaraani]

3-    Islam permitted many transactions which are related to farming and the like (which one may do); for more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 95446

Allaah Knows best.
