His second wife still receives government benefits as an unmarried widow

Question:

My cousin married a second wife aboad without informing the government. So under the government he has only one wife. The second wife who is a ex -widow still getting all the benefits from government as she is legally not married. Are all this accepted in Islam. Further questions is a man allowed to marry for sex only and not for procreation as his sexual desire is very high. During wife 's menses if a man really need sex what should he do. Can he musturbate himself.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

 

If this woman does not deserve the benefits because she is married, then she is not permitted to take these benefits, and she is obliged to inform the government about it.

As regards the marriage of a husband with a second wife, then it is permissible for him to do so if he is able to be just between his two wives. He is permitted to marry a second wife whether he intended to fulfill his desires or indented other permissible objectives. Moreover, it might be that a husband is obliged to marry a second wife if his first wife does not keep him chaste and he fears to be tempted to commit adultery with other women.

As regards masturbation, it is forbidden, we mean if the husband masturbates himself; for more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 81150. However, if he is masturbated by his wife, or masturbates between her thighs for instance, then this is permissible because a husband is permitted to enjoy his wife in whichever manner he wishes provided he avoids anal sex and sex during menses.
