Question:

BISMILLAH AR RAHMAN.......AR RAHIM
IF MY MONTHLY PERIOD ENDS AND DUE TO THE PROBLEM THAT I WORK AND I AM NOT ABLE TO WASH..TILL I RETURN HOME ..AT TIMES MORE THAN ONE SALAT HAS PASSED ..IF THIS OCCURIES...IN WHAT ORDER MUST I MAKE UP THE MISSED SALAT...

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If a woman becomes pure from menses, she should take the initiative to perform Ghusl (i.e. a ritual bath) and the obligatory prayer. If she is negligent about this until she misses some prayers, then she has indeed committed a great sin. Moreover, it is not permissible for a woman to provide excuses of work or else, because a Muslim has no sound excuse for abandoning the prayer as long as he is in sound mind. Therefore, she should sincerely repent to Allaah and not do this again. Moreover, she is obliged to make up the prayers that she had missed in sequential order.

The sequential order means that if she had missed more than one prayer, like Thuhr, ‘Asr, Maghrib and ‘Isha’, then she should perform them in order, i.e. she should first pray Thuhr, then ‘Asr, then Maghrib and then ‘Isha’.

However, if you become pure from menses and you do not find what to perform Ghusl with, or you do not find a place to perform Ghusl, then you should perform Tayammum (dry ablution) if you fear that the time of the prayer would expire. The Tayammum is to put your hands once on the soil and then wipe over your face and hands, and then perform the prayer. Then, when you return to your home, you should perform Ghusl and you are not obliged to repeat that prayer.

Allaah Knows best.
