Question:

Assalamu alaykom wa rahmatullah:
1-My wife is selling beauty products and most of them are either made in the so called "Israel" or made here in the US but owned by people from there. Knowing that part of the money made out of those products might go to some institutions that are harming our brothers in the occupied territories of Palestine, Is it halal to sell those products? if it's haram how could she get rid of the money she made out of this business and the products in stock? jazakum allahu khayran wa salam

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

We have already issued Fatwa 86109 clarifying the ruling on boycotting the products of the countries that fight against Islam and Muslims, so please refer to it.

If a Muslim sells these products, then he is sinful according to the opinion that it is an obligation to boycott them; however, the price from this trade is lawful for him/her as we clarified in Fatwa 82659.

As regards the products that you still have, then you may sell them and then stop doing so and your wife may benefit from it by using it for her own self.

Allaah Knows best.
