Question:

What does the Chadilite doctrine mean ? (abdessalam ben Mchich in morocco) and what is the ruling about it ?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

The Shaathili Tareeqah (order) is one of the Sufi orders attributed to Abu Al-Hasan Ash-Shaathili. This Tareeqah is based on many false beliefs on which Sufism is built like the belief and exaggeration in the status of the dead, supplicating them, seeking help from them, slaughtering for them, and making vows for them. It also involves other evil practices which are in essence associating partners with Allaah, Lord of the Worlds.

Moreover, followers of this Tareeqah say a type of prayer called As-Salah Al-Masheeshiyyah named after its founder Abdus-Salaam ibn Masheesh, Shayk (teacher) of Abu Al-Hasan Ash-Shaathili. This prayer includes many evil matters and involves the belief in immanentism and pantheism. For further information about Sufism in general, see Fatwa 82017.

Allaah Knows best.
