Question:

Asalamalakum, I am very please to know that your website is providing Q & A Service regarding Islam. I have a question, which is very disturbing me. Two year back I went to a Mosque out side my town there unfortunately my urine was released during prayer and the upper sheet and the floor carpet was become wet with my urine. I told this to the Imam he told me that they will clean the place. After day or two I again went to that Mosque to inquire from Imam that they have clean the place .There his colleague told me that they have clean the place. Then I came back but I was not satisfied I was continuously thinking that may be there some dirt left of my urine. So I again went there and ask from Imam he told me that don't worry and do not think about this matter. So I give him some money to utilize it for cleaning purpose of Mosque and if possible once again try to clean the place. But I don't know why I think that may be some dirt left there or my feet were also wet may be the path was become unclean or Mosque Imam haven't properly clean the place or may be they have left some place to clean mistakenly. I am very much confused/worried regarding this matter that God will ask from me that why u haven't clean the place although during my visit to that Mosque I clean the upper sheet of row with wet cloth but I am not satisfied. Kindly guide me regarding this matter.Tell me regarding my act. I will be very much thankful to you If you can provide me the answer.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If the urine contaminated the ground or the carpet, it is enough to pour water over it in order to purify the place. So, if you informed the Imaam of the mosque about what happened and the worker of the mosque informed you that they had purified the place from urine and the Imaam of the mosque confirmed this to you, then there is no sound reason for you to preoccupy yourself with this matter.

However, we advise you not to think about this matter as this may be whispers from the devil; hence you should not take this into consideration. In principle, the Muslims are just and trustworthy, and since those people informed you that they had purified the place from urine, then you are acquitted from sin and you did what you were obligated to do, so you are not considered sinful in the sight of Allaah.

Allaah Knows best.
