Question:

What are the names of Paradise?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds.  I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

Some of the names of Paradise are:

1.       Al-Husnaa (the best reward) for Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra.}[Quran 10:26]

2.       Daar As-Salaam (the home of peace) for Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {For them will be the Home of Peace with their Lord.}[Quran 6:127]

3.       Jannaat ‘Adn (the gardens of perpetual residence) for Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Allaah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence; but approval from Allaah is greater. It is that which is the great attainment.}[Quran 9:72]

4.       Jannaat An-Na‘eem (the gardens of pleasure) for Allaah The Exalted Says (what means): {Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure.}[Quran 10:9]

5.       Daar Al-Muttaqeen (the home of the righteous) for Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {And how excellent is the home of the righteous.}[Quran 16:30]

6.       Jannaat Al-Firdaws (the gardens of Paradise) for Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds they will have the Gardens of Paradise as a lodging.}[Quran 18:107]

7.       Jannat Al-Khuld (the garden of eternity) for Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Say, is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.}[Quran 25:15]

8.       Al-Ghurfah (the chamber) for Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace.}[Quran 25:75]

9.       Daar Al-Muqaamah (the home of duration) for Allaah The Exalted Says (what means): {He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."}[Quran 35:35]

10.     Daar Al-Qaraar (the home of permanent settlement) for Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter that is the home of [permanent] settlement.}[Quran 40:39]
