Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Ibn ‘Abbaas may Allaah be pleased with him narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: ''The best solution for those who love each other is to marry.” [Ibn Maajah]

Therefore, if this girl and that young man love each other very much as you mentioned, then the solution for this is to facilitate their marriage; it is sufficient that each one of them wants to keep himself chaste from what is forbidden.

However, that young man should endeavor to convince his parents with every permissible means, among which is to seek the help of some people who may influence them. If they are convinced, praise be to Allaah, but if this is not possible and he fears harm on himself if he does not marry her, it is permissible for him to marry her even without the consent of his parents. Then, he should endeavour to please them.

We advise your parents not to condition the consent of that young man’s parents in order to marry their daughter off to him.

In any case, if this marriage does not take place, then each one of them should go his own way as Allaah may bless each one of them with someone better. As regards love sickness, then this can be treated; for more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 84544.

Allaah Knows best.
