Question:

What is the description of the people of Paradise?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

The characteristics of the people of Paradise are many and it is very difficult to enumerate them. May Allaah The Almighty make us all among them.

Some of their attributes were mentioned in the following Quranic verses [Quran 76:13-21], [Quran 35:33-35] and [Quran 56:15-37]  However, there are many other attributes mentioned in other Quranic verses.

With regard to their attributes mentioned in the Sunnah, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said that the first group of people to enter Paradise would look like the full moon, they would not have the urge to spit,  blow their noses, or relieve themselves. He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, also said that their utensils would be of gold,  their combs made from gold and silver, and their incense would have the best smell.  Their sweat would smell like musk and everyone of them would have two wives, the marrow of their bones would be seen through their flesh with excessive beauty.

The Hadeeth provides further description, mentioning that the people of Paradise will neither have differences nor hate one another, their hearts will be as one heart and they will glorify Allaah in the morning and in the evening. [Al-Bukhari]

Allaah Knows best.
