Indications of visions coming true

Question:

Do visions that come true indicate the pleasure of Allaah with his slave or otherwise?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

If a dream comes true, it is a good sign. ‘Aa’ishah may Allaah be pleased with her mentioned that the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, was in the form of a dream which comes true; whenever he saw a dream, it would come true exactly as he saw it. [Al-Bukhari]

Dreams which come true is something which particularly happen to the pious slaves of Allaah. ‘Ubaadah Ibn As-Saamit may Allaah be pleased with him asked the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) about the meaning of the Quranic verse where Allaah Says (what means): {For them are good tidings in the worldly life.} [Quran 10:64]. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) told him that this refers to a dream that comes true, which a person sees or is seen for him by another person. [Ahmad and At-Tirmithi]

Thus, a person whom Allaah blessed with visions that come true should thank Allaah for this blessing and abide more firmly by Islam and its teachings. However, he should not be beguiled by it, and he should not rely on it; such dreams bring glad tidings but should not be a reason for one to become arrogant and deceived by such dreams.

Allaah Knows best.
