Question:

What are the ways or methods that would help me religiously affect female students in preparatory and secondary schools?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

Islam set and outlined the guidelines for Da‘wah and provided the framework in which it should work. Some of these guidelines are:

1-      The Daa‘iyah (caller) has to be a good role model for his audience. Quoting the Prophet Shu‘ayb may Allaah exalt his mention Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {And I do not intend to differ from you in that which I have forbidden you; I only intend reform as much as I am able. And my success is not but through Allaah. Upon him I have relied, and to Him I return.}[Quran 11:88]

2-      The person must firmly adhere to the principles and fundamentals of Islam and never change them under the pretext of Da‘wah or coping with current changes.

3-      A person must be patient with people and endure their harm. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] determination.}[Quran 31:17]

4-      A person has to be keen on acquiring the knowledge that would enable him to convince people of the truth. There are some etiquettes involved in acquiring knowledge.

5-      Kindness in calling people to Allaah by speaking gently and replying calmly. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best.}[Quran 16:125]

6-      Focusing on stimulating people’s interests by means of using interesting stories and useful tales.

And Allaah Knows best.
