Assalamo alikum All praise be to ALLAH brother i have a mole on my face.Am i allowed to pluck its hair or does hair on mole come under facial hair and beard which ofcourse muslims are not allowed to cut.actually it looks kind of ugly with hair on mole and prophet(SAW) said "ALLAH is beautiful and he loves beauty".hence i am not sure whether i should cut these hair on mole or leave them as they are.waiting for your reply brother. jazakALLAH may peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon our prophet his wives, his offsprings and his companions till day of ressurection.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

The facial hair that a man is prohibited to remove is that of his beard and eyebrows and he is allowed to remove other than that. The extent of the beard, according to the linguists, is the hair that grows on the cheekbones, cheeks and chin.

Accordingly, if the mole is out of that extent, then there is nothing wrong with plucking out the hair that grows on it. However, if the mole is included in the extent of the beard, then it is allowed to remove the hair that grows on it if it deforms one's face and makes it look ugly. Ibn ‘Abdil Barr may Allaah have mercy upon him said in Al-Istithkaar: "Maalik said, it is permissible to take from the beard what is untidy, disheveled, too long or ugly-looking." [End quote]

Allaah Knows best.
