Undoing a magic spell should be done by a specialist

Question:

I suspected that the relatives of my husband wanted to bind him with a spell and I searched and found a piece of paper which contained this. I immediately burnt it. Was what I did correct?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alyhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

It should be noted that you are not permitted to suspect that a particular person may cast a spell on you or harm you in any way, unless there is evidence or proof. However, if there is clear evidence that the paper you found was a spell cast by his relatives, you must advise them and remind them of the punishment of Allaah The Almighty and the gravity of such a sin.  You should also encourage them to repent and ask Allaah The Almighty to forgive them.

As for undoing a magic spell, it is preferable not to burn it. Instead, you should read Al-Mu‘awithataan (the Chapters Al-Falaq and An-Naas) on it, and dissolve it in some water that should be discarded in a body of running water.

Also, a person may refer to righteous and upright specialists who  know how to deal with magic and undo spells. This will avoid disposal of the spell in a way that could harm the person it was cast on, or failure to undo the spell. Having burnt it already there will be no harm, Allaah willing.

We implore Allaah The Almighty to protect you and your husband from every evil.

Allaah Knows best.
