Knowing when a magic spell is removed

28-2-2011 | IslamWeb

Question:

Recently, I was under the effect of a magic spell and I went to a Shaykh who treats it with verses from the Quran. I followed his instructions to recite the Quran regularly for a long period of time, but how can I be certain that the spell has been removed, given that I live abroad now?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

If you no longer experience the signs and symptoms of magic, then most probably the spell has been removed.

However, please note that these signs and symptoms are not based on full certainty, but rather on the strong probability of them being there. If someone experiences one or all of them, then he is permitted to seek treatment by the Sharee‘ah-approved Ruqyah (Quranic treatment) in order to break the spell and rid himself of them.

Allaah Knows best.
