The Quran is the speech of Allaah and it is not created

Question:

A person who commits religious innovations in our area raised the following doubts regarding the issue of the creation of the Quran:
It is known that the Universe contains either a Creator or a creation, so under what category should we classify the Quran.
How can I answer him?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alyhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

The Quran is the speech of Allaah The Almighty and it is not created, as proved by the Quran, the Sunnah (Prophetic tradition) and the consensus of the righteous predecessors, since it is one of the attributes of Allaah The Almighty, which are not created.

Thus, what this person, may Allaah guide him, said is nothing but an attempt to confuse you. Undoubtedly, no reasonable person   can separate between the attribute and the being to whom it belongs, making them two different essences. One of them is the creator and the other the creation, and thus, it is pointless to ask us to decide whether the attribute (the Quran) is the creator or the creation.

Finally, we advise you to keep away from mingling with such a person, because mingling with such people sickens the heart and causes a person to have doubts, especially if you are not knowledgeable enough and equipped enough with the requirements for debate.

Allaah Knows best.
