Question:

What are the names of Paradise and how often is Paradise mentioned in the Quran? Please give examples.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alyhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

 

The names of Paradise include:

 

  1. Al-Husna (the best reward): Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {For them who have done good is Al-Husna (the best reward)} [Quran 10:26]
  2. Daar As-Salaam (the Home of Peace): Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {For them will be Daar As-Salaam (the Home of Peace) with their Lord. And He will be their Protecting Friend because of what they used to do.} [Quran 6:127]
  3. Jannaat ‘Adn (Gardens of Perpetual Residence): Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Allaah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and pleasant dwellings in Jannaat ‘Adn (Gardens of Perpetual Residence.)} [Quran 9:72]
