Nothing wrong with removing hair from the ears and below the eyes

Question:

Does plucking the hair from the ears and below the eyes fall under the prohibited plucking? What is the ruling if one plucks it by himself? If it is prohibited, how can we remove the hair from the ears?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

We do not know of any text that prohibits plucking the hair of the ears or that which grows below the eyes. Thus, the matter remains according to the presumptive principle of non-liability because it does not fall under the categories of hair that are ordered to be removed nor does it fall under the ones ordered to be kept. If one wants to remove it, then there is nothing wrong with that, and he can choose the way that suits him in doing that.

Allaah knows best.
