This statement is not conditional divorce

Question:

Dear Brother/Sister, assalaamu alaykum. I would like to know whether the following phrase is considered a conditional divorce: A man tells his wife, "The day you become angry in this house is your last day here." Thank you.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

This statement is apparently a promise and a threat of divorce, but it is not a conditional divorce. So if the wife becomes angry and the husband did not put his non-explicit threat of divorce into effect, then divorce does not take place.
